Patina is the Founder and Executive Director of Dance Intensified & Entertainment, LLC.
She is a professional dancer, choreographer, educator and dance fitness coach who started her dance career at the tender age of five in the city of Philadelphia, where she is originally from. She has trained with the St. Thomas Dance Exchange Program, Empowerment Through the Arts, Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco), Dance Place, Joy of Motion, and Urban Bush Woman (UBW). She now resides in Washington D.C., received her B.A. in Dance from the University of Maryland, College Park, along with a Dorothy Madden Scholarship for choreography.
Patina previously co-founded the dance company Liaison Movement Ink., and her professional career consists of dancing with several companies including: Soul In Motion and the Malcolm-X Dancers & Drummers, Taurus Broadhurst Dance Company, Coyaba Dance Theater and Lesole’s Dance Projects. While dancing with these companies, Patina taught at Princess Mhoon Dance Institute, Joy of Motion, City Dance (Strathmore), local after school programs and dance companies in the DMV. Patina previously taught dance and theater at the Arts & Technology Academy, Public Charter School, KIPP: Quest, Public Charter School & Friendship Chamberlain, Public Charter School.
She currently teaches at Trinity Washington University as a dance fitness instructor, while building the Dance Intensified & Entertainment Empire.
