Kendra Johnson discovered her love for dance at the age of 14. She has trained in Ballet, Modern dance, Hip Hop, and African dance. Broadway Dance Center’s Summer Professional Semester, PHILADANCO Training Program, Temple University’s Dance Department, Marcellus Dance Studio, Diva Works Dance and Dance Institute of Washington have been Kendra’s grounds of diverse training that have led her to be the dancer and teacher she is today. She attended Temple University where she earned her BFA in Dance Education. Shortly after graduating, Kendra became a middle school dance teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools, where she spent two wonderful years educating students on dance and showcasing students in wonderful performance opportunities.
Kendra continues to train regularly and perform as the opportunities arise. She is currently the leader of Ladies of Redemption dance crew, a versatile group of female dancers. She is the founder of Kendra Marie Moves, LLC, a company aimed to provide quality dance classes and private lessons to adults and children. With an upbeat and encouraging attitude, Kendra Marie leads her students to challenge themselves and reach their next level. Kendra has hopes of inspiring and motivating more people to commit to themselves positively and effectively to accomplish whatever they desire.
